Defines an abstract event in a discrete-event system.

Method Summary

boolean	equals(java.lang.Object o) Returns true iff o is of type DESEvent and has the same name as this DESEvent.
java.lang.String	getSymbol() Returns the symbol that represents this event in the (local?) alphabet.
int	hashCode() Returns an integer for the event which can be used for hashing.

getSymbol

java.lang.String getSymbol()

Returns the symbol that represents this event in the (local?) alphabet.

Returns:

the symbol that represents this event

setSymbol

void setSymbol(java.lang.String symbol)

Sets the symbol for this event to symbol.

Parameters:

symbol - the symbol to set

equals

boolean equals(java.lang.Object o)

Returns true iff o is of type DESEvent and has the same name as this DESEvent.

Returns:

true iff o is of type DESEvent and has the same name as this DESEvent.

hashCode

int hashCode()

Returns an integer for the event which can be used for hashing. If equals(Object) returns true for another DESEvent, the hashCode() methods for the two events have to return the same integer.
